Dead Meat recently entered the Harold Jolliff one act play festival in Swindon Wilts with 'Prevenge', a new play by Owen Fishwick. It's a preliminary round of the AETF (All England Theatre Festival) held each year in Britain. The winning play from Swindon goes on to the semi final of the English round (usually there's a quarter final but there were no festivals held in the local counties this year) from there the winner goes onto the final and then there's the British final where one team from England, Scotland Ireland and Wales all compete to be the overall winner! Dead Meat didn't win in Swindon but we were delighted to receive a nomination for Best Original Play (well done Owen!) and a nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role (well done me!) Much fun was had and a big congratulations to our friends at Whole Hog Productions for winning the festival!

The end of this week also marked the completion of 'Wetwork'. A new one act play I have been writing. It's a dark comedy about two hit men who find themselves in a spot of bother over the course of one evening. I look forward to going into production with it in the future!
